Pre-Operative Care

Before heart surgery, you will have blood tests, heart scans, and an anaesthesia check to ensure your body is ready. Medicines may be adjusted, smoking should stop, and you will get clear instructions on fasting and simple breathing exercises to practice at home.

Post-Operative Care

After surgery, you stay briefly in the ICU while your heart, breathing, and pain are monitored. As you improve, you start sitting up, walking with support, doing breathing exercises, and caring for the wound. Regular follow‑ups, medicines, activity, and diet changes then help secure long‑term recovery.
